Planning Application Submitted for 208 Student Bedspaces on Bath Street, Glasgow
Manson Associates have submitted a planning application on behalf of McLaren Property for 208 student bedspaces with commercial space at 285 Bath Street in Glasgow. We are providing architectural and planning consultancy services on the project and are seeking a positive outcome at planning committee in the early part of 2026.
The proposal is 15 storeys in height, standing at 43m tall and will deliver much needed high-quality accommodation for both domiciled and non-domiciled students in Glasgow.
McLaren has offered a free ground floor space of approximately 1000 sqft to the community and this has been well received. There is a lack of community “anchor organisations” in the area and the opportunity to seek to partner with one from another area who may be interested in the space. This in itself would help to develop community capacity in the Blytheswood and Broomielaw area.
